Upper

chairlift station

The new station stands on the same spot as the earlier building, which had to be demolished in 2016 owing to its poor condition. The original building had served as the upper station for the chairlift from Trojanovice to Pustevny ever since 1937. The earlier building had also contained a return wheel, and was gradually extended to include a ski-hire shop, buffet and WC. Thanks to sticking ever more extensions to the old building, finally it was no longer suitable for further use.

Which way to the station?

All visitors these days arrive straight into the upper station building as soon as they alight from the chair lift. Getting on and off the chairlift takes place exclusively through the new upper station.

OPENING HOURS

OPEN EVERY DAY

Mon–Fri: 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Sat–Sun: 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Refreshments and souvenirs

Part of the chairlift upper station is a scenic self-service restaurant. In the local shop visitors can also purchase souvenirs. There’s also a kickbike and kicksled hire shop (on the ground floor) and public toilets.

Harmony with nature

The new station is a modern building constructed from stone, wood and glass. It is the work of Kopřivnice architect Kamil Mrva, who for years has been collaborating with the municipality of Trojanovice and has worked on the shape of the Radegast Beskids project. The entire building has been designed with the natural location in mind, so that it fits perfectly into its Pustevny setting.

Panorama of the Beskid Mountains

Thanks to its large panes, tourists, skiers and hikers can gaze out from the upper station restaurant at stunning views over the whole panorama of the Beskid Mountains, the valley of Frenštát pod Radhoštěm, the summit of Javorník and the Radhošť ridge. Summer encourages visitors to sit out on the terrace.
